Wingbowl Drinks

With Wingbowl just 3 days away, now is a good time to start planning your drink list for your Wingbowl tailgate.

Again, it is going to be cold. So, below are recipes for two great hot alcoholic beverages. These recipes are provided by Drinkstreet.

Hot Irish Nut:
1 ounce Irish Cream
1 ounce Frangelico
1 ounce Amaretto
3 ounces Coffee
Pour into a coffee mug and fill with coffee

Café Amaretto:
1/2 ounce Amaretto
1/2 ounce Kahlua
4 ounces Coffee
Pour in a coffee mug and fill with hot coffee. Garnish with whipped cream.

If you are attending this event with people under the age of 21, regular hot chocolate or coffee or tea would work. Or you can try this really outstanding recipe for non-alcoholic hot apple cider from the Vermont Maple Foundation

Non-Alcoholic Apple Cider:
2 quarts apple cider
1 cup Pure Vermont Maple Syrup
1 stick cinnamon
A few whole cloves
Lemon slices, cut in half, for garnish

-Combine cider, syrup, cinnamon and cloves and heat thoroughly, but do not boil. Remove cloves and serve hot, garnished with a half lemon slice.

If weather is not a concern, a light beer or any mixed drink would be a good opinion because this event starts so early in the morning.

Tomorrow will be look at food for your Wingbowl tailgate.
